Commercial Techniques

After watching 7 days worth of tv, watching multiple shows and movies with commercials, I have seen many ways in which people advertise their products. I have also noticed there are catagories you can put these in.
Types of commercials: 1) Funny
2) Serious
3) Sad
4) Dumb
1) I’m sure everyone by now as seen a Geico commercial with the cavemen or the gecko. This commercial i think is the most effective for me. This is classified as a funny commercial.

2) There are also serious commercials that somewhat bore me. The new AllState commercials fall into this catagory or most Lawyer commercials. This is classified as a serious commercial.

3) Sad Commercials are like animal cruelty commercials. Their strategy is to make you feel bad for the animals in hope that it you will help out. Also the commercials about poor kids in africa is another one. This is classified as a sad commercial.

4) Dumb is plain and simple, usually has jokes that don’t make sense. We have a lot of these in Alabama. Kind of like Suzuki man…very very stupid. This is classified as a dumb commercial

Lets all wine about Swine Flu

So the swine flu is spreading fast and will keep spreading. It has been reported in many more states than New York. Now, it has spread to Alabama, Texas, and many other states. I don’t believe we can escape this. It will keep spreading like the normal flu does. We can’t seem to stop ourselves from getting the normal flu. We can’t avoid socializing with other people because we have jobs and schools. Basically it is like “watch and see who gets it first.”

Hulk Hogan, former pro wreslter, got some slack from people over a comment he said in the rolling stones magazine. Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan have been having problems getting a long. Linda has told reporters, “His violent and scary mood swings have been a nightmare for years.” Apparently, Hogan wrote in on rolling stones and said,”totally understand O.J. Simpson.” O.J. Simpson, if you do not know, was accused of killing his wife and another man. I do think it was a misunderstanding like he says it was. Sometimes people say things they don’t mean and i believe this is the case. Forgive the Hulk lol

haha so a middle school teacher was arrested for coming to school drunk. One of the students said that she turned on some music and began dancing and that if they didn’t stand up and dance too that they would get an “F.” After noticing that what she did was wrong, she ran and was later found passed out by a swimming pool. This has not been the first case of her drunkedness, a while back she was found passed out in her car surrounded by bottles of wine. Drink responsible or alone

Watch Out Speed-Demons!

For you drivers who like to speed, watch out because there might be a new police car coming soon. “This futuristic prowler has a 300-horsepower diesel engine, flashing lights visible from all angles, an ergonomic cockpit, an on board computer with voice command and instant license plate recognition, integrated shotgun mounts, and more.” So if you are thinking about speeding or running from the cops; don’t try it. Although, with high tech equipment comes a great price, and that price is about $50,000 a car. Many cops say that this would greatly help them but the price would have to be reduced due to being too expensive. They already have hundreds and hundreds of patrol cars that are working just fine, it would cost a great deal of money to replace them. “The E7 can go 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, has a top speed of 155 mph and can withstand a 75-mph rear impact. It has bullet-resistant panels in the doors and dash and has push bumpers incorporated into the aluminum frame.” I hope this “batmobile” makes it out on the street.

Greta Van Susteran –> 100% Awesome Sauce

I have been following up on Greta Van Susteran for awhile now. If you aren’t familier with her, she comes on fox news on weeknights 10 PM eastern. One major case she talked about for the longest time and supported the family was Natalie Holloway, the girl who disappeared in Arubaduring a school trip. The main reason i like to watch her is the way she speaks about things. She has a somewhat serious humor look on her face if that makes any sense. She also doesn’t seem to drift off things, if she finds a case to talk about she will talk about every detail of it. If you haven’t watched her before, then i strongly suggest it.
